Oak Cottage is your dog’s perfect holiday home – the ideal retreat for your dog to spend a peaceful and relaxing vacation, coupled with fun, interesting walks in the beautiful Norfolk countryside.

As an alternative to kennels, our exclusive home boarding service provides your pet the opportunity to live as part of our family during their stay, creating the perfect home from home environment including large amounts of company and attention.

We only provide home boarding for 2 dogs at a time, with the occasional third dog having an overnight  or short stay. This way we ensure your dog receives the maximum in care at all times. We offer a bespoke home boarding experience, designed with you to specifically suit your pet’s individual needs. This includes  supervised playtimes in our large, secure, enclosed garden and walks twice a day through the footpaths and country lanes which abound in Breckland.

Sleeping quarters include extra large raised beds in temperature controlled rooms with underfloor heating . You are very welcome to visit and inspect our home at any time before you decide to board your dog with us and we always arrange an overnight stay for your pet to familiarise themselves with us before booking a longer  term home boarding holiday.

Formerly a successful British Horseracing Authority licensed racehorse trainer Rob is Level 3 Qualified in Animal Care and Management and Canine First Aid, and is also an accredited member of the Kennel Club of Great Britain Assured Breeder Scheme.

As we only home board well behaved dogs, providing an exclusive service to the highest approved standards in our home, where your pet becomes part of our extended family during their stay, we expect that this is reciprocated and understood by our patrons that wish to use our service.

Fully licensed ( Rated 5 Stars by Breckland Council ) and insured, our bespoke service costs £40 per dog per day / overnight stay. ALL dates booked are payable dates. Bank Holidays are subject to a 25% surcharge per day. We can also assist with you with a pick up and return service if required. Please note we do not board giant dogs, bull breeds or dogs under the age of twelve months.
